I am a different candidate, 73, different by being disabled. I came from a family that was not rich. I had to get hand-me-down shoes from grade school. My father died from emphysema when I was 12.
While I was growing up, I worked multiple jobs and worked full-time and went to school full-time so my family was able to live. At the same time, the school administration harassed me for not fitting what I call the “normal student profile” which is a 2 parent family. eventually, in the hospital with high blood pressure from the school/work environment around me. I did not graduate from high school due to illness.
No police record.
Later, after 1st job accident, I did get my GED in the first sitting. Getting my high school diploma would take a lot of work because the requirements had changed so much since high school.
After checking the requirements I decided to take a college class and I eventually received my Degree in Commercial Computer Analysis. Worked at places like Boise-Cascade, the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., the Department of State, Ringling Bros. Barnum, and Bailey Circus.
Later in life, computer work was unavailable due to the country’s economic problems. And I went back to a college in a different area and received certification in Paralegal Studies. I had a couple more accidents at work and an auto accident.
The reason I told you about the disabilities was to communicate that even tho from the first accident I was 100% disabled (and every accident after that) and I still went back to work full-time until the auto accident. I can do the job! I just need a chance to show you!
