Department of Education was created to provide a standard for all states to perform too. This was to enhance education and everyone was provided the same education as far as subjects were concerned (Math, English, science, etc.) along with standard teacher plans. The unions were a good thing until they learned that they had power in numbers by providing donations to Presidential candidates. This power destroyed education. They stopped listening to parents and started creating their own subjects CRT, SEX, made-up and dramatized history, etc. It benefits teachers with lopsided wages, and benefits etc.(who else gets years off without working as during the China Virus lockdowns, vs. students. Students are the more important than the teachers. Without students we don’t need teachers. Now in many states, students can go to almost any school and the money for education follows them\ student. Which brings back the level of importance.

This one’s easy! The Department of Education should be abolished! PERIOD! Please understand while teachers are important, students are the priority. To use their vocabulary, they have the equaty of “coders”. Parents and maybe the P.T.A. should supervise the teachers and the school administration. There needs to be less administration and more teachers! There needs to be a balance there that isn’t there today. And I would try to do this through legislation so that kids in Arizona get the same education in Chicago as well as New York!
